FYI some of last years PONI players didn’t make either Aus u18s (NZ Tour) or Aus Schoolboys (Fiji Tour), missing out altogether on wearing gold for the year….

IMHO Koterac is a very good footballer but has a long way to go as a prop; he has had to play both sides as he’s been part of front rows that have struggled (not all his fault)… he’s like a Joeys back rower over the years; not quite quick enough for the coaches liking to play back row, so is put...

Koterac is an interesting example; is he in PONI or has his league (named in NSW CIS for Aus Schools League champs) commitments made him ineligible?

Very good point; did kids have to declare any conflicts? Aus Schools Rugby League chanps squads have been announced and maybe too much of a timing clash???

Is there an actual list of PONI players?

Gen Blue doesn’t exist any more I don’t think. There may have been a select few chosen into a players of national interest PONI squad.

Will NSW Schools selectors reward performance or reputations?!

In opens it’s GPS I think…. In u16s they run parallel until NSW Schools selections after the school associations trials, of which NSW Schools have priority this year after Sydney had priority last year
