Potter is there over Pietsch for the impending aerial bombardment, Gordon isn't quite ready, and Faessler maybe isn't either.

The rankings equation - regardless of any other results on the weekend: Any loss - we stay at 7th and England will jump France to 4th. A draw to 15 point win - we jump Argentina to 6th A 16+ point win - we jump both Argentina and England to 5th.

There are obviously a few holes there due to well flagged injuries & Reg 9 unavailability, but I'm curious as to what alternatives that are available will have filled you with confidence?

With the uncertainty around R360 I'm wondering if he's just decided to take a punt and have a crack at rugby anyway. If R360 doesn't go ahead or is delayed he'd pick up a gig somewhere, if not here then either Japan or Europe on pretty decent coin you would imagine considering his background.

Yes he did make a comment inferring this when Carl laughed at the specificity of the number.

There was an interview with Schmidt on Ch9 just now and they asked how C Gordon was going - ‘he’s going super, been recalibrating, will see him sooner rather than later, has had a little niggle but ran at 96% on Tuesday and we think he’s right to go’. Maybe Doran has got this one wrong?

I’m ok with this #10 situation. Personally I think Donno should have been taken on tour, but he wasn’t. The three 10s are Edmed, JOC (James O'Connor) and Gordon. They knew JOC (James O'Connor) wouldn’t be available this weekend and it’s more important to get Gordon’s quad right than bust it further. These are the exact...

Looks a bit like they're transitioning back to their top team via the bench - it also serves the purpose of countering Schmidt's trademark late charge. It will be important for us to take advantage of this and get off to a good start, we will want to be in front by more than a score with 20 to...

His teammates will be getting cheap thrills out of trying to make him laugh and sneeze. If it was the last game of the tour they’d just load it up with cortisone. I’d say they’ll rest him the next 2 games and then do that for the last 2 if they need him to play.

hence why I said at the time it was scheduled it was viewed as a warm up game, but by the time it came around it was viewed as a distraction they would rather didn’t exist so the approach was to navigate through it with as little disruption as possible to the main game that lies ahead . Anyways...

I think most would agree with this, but a bit probably has to do with the agreement RA signed with the JRU a few years ago? I might be wrong on that. Regardless it probably seemed a good idea at the time as a warm up for the northern tour, they probably didn’t think about the WR (World Rugby) rankings being...

That was never an issue that I am aware of. It’s that they have 5 games in 5 weeks, plus it might have been considered not to risk some of the best players in a game we should win without them. As Schmidt said, a calculated risk.

That would be your own interpretation of it, no one else has said that. As TSR says, we roll out our weaker teams against weaker opponents, just like every tier 1 coach forever and a day has done .

I didn’t realize there was anyone still left in the ‘I value what Eddie thinks’ camp.
