First Nations & Pasifika XV vs the Lions - Tue, Jul 22 @ 8:00 PM, Melbourne

Problem is our indigenous types generally aren't big enough to be forwards so we are really only looking at backs, and these blokes are playing against test players, so you can't just pluck them out of anywhere, they at least need to be professional players purely in the interest of safety, and...

Wallabies vs Lions , 19th July Suncorp

I don't know if he necessarily held back a plethora of tactics but it was pretty clear in my eyes that how JAS was used against Fiji (more like how he wasn't used) is not how he will be used against the Lions, I'm pretty sure he was keeping that card close to his chest.

    Lions Tour 2025

Anyways, I'm not sure what one muppet's view of what deal gets negotiated in 2029 has to do with 'Lions Tour 2025', there is a lot of water to go under the bridge between now and then including 'Lions Tour 2025' and hosting a Rugby World Cup. I'd assume a fair bit will have to do with those 2...

July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

As I said on another thread, it's very Irish to be doing that. And Eddie's England famously went to #1 without ever playing the All Blacks. It's just the way the system works, if we manage to beat the Lions just once it will be justified.

July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

And the Poms just escalated us above Argentina in the world rankings to #6.

July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

My son is in Portugal at the moment, it's about 50 degrees every day. I'm sure it's just a summer break for the Irish players, it's like rocking up to Fiji in the middle of January and requesting a test match.

July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

Geez Ireland got adventurous with their summer tour - Georgia and Portugal. The latter they won 106-0 last night. Yet Italy tour South Africa, good on them,

    Lions Tour 2025

I agree with rugbyAU In fairness, the Aus provincial B grade teams by and large fared better than the game that had the Kiwis in it. RA did offer the Lions a game against Australia A. Instead they chose that rabble last night. Now, back to what RugbyAU said.

AUNZ Invitational XV v British & Irish Lions Saturday, 12 July 2025, 8:00pm Adelaide Oval

Someone remind me why the lions rejected a game against Australia A? I mean they were happy to play all the super B sides

AUNZ Invitational XV v British & Irish Lions Saturday, 12 July 2025, 8:00pm Adelaide Oval

Well I guess we can’t expect too much from a team made up of Qld B and some kiwis that look like they came over to drink some SA reds

AUNZ Invitational XV v British & Irish Lions Saturday, 12 July 2025, 8:00pm Adelaide Oval

Lame intro, I was expecting them to get into Haka formation and sing waltzing Matilda

    Wallabies 2025

That would be very Irish of us to scale up the ratings ladder by virtue of not playing anyone ranked higher than us. Bring it on.

    Wallabies 2025

We have Michael Hooper and Steve Larkham saying we now need either O'Connor or Foley in the squad. That's a bit different to Phil Kearns and David Campese saying it. Personally I agree we should bring one of them into the environment, especially considering we are going to match the Lions 38...

    Wallabies 2025

I’m not actually sure what you’re trying to highlight here, that he made a lot of tackles? I’d say that was his brief for the 23 minutes he was on, Fraser’s workload was managed for 80 minutes.
