    Wallabies v England November 1

The game plan under Schmidt is rubbish. I don’t think the ball went across the backline once. Did Jorgo touch the ball? Our attack is too narrow and way too predictable.

“Donno wouldn’t inspire confidence to drive it home either.” Not sure about that. Donaldson came off the bench last year v England and played his part at the death to close out the game for the win including a clever flick on for Jorgo’s winning try. He also did well against Fiji and the Lions...

    Wallabies v England November 1

Geez Edmed is having a dream run after offering very little to date. He really stifles our attack and is too error prone. And a real concern if Stewart is the back up 10. Could get ugly. Hopefully the forwards get the job done.

    Wallabies v Japan 25 Oct

Edmed looked lost at times. No spark whatsoever. And too many aimless kicks. Carter needs to start next week but admittedly a huge gamble.

    Wallabies 2025

Hamish Stewart offers plenty including a solid kicking game, resolute defence (he rarely misses), hits the ball up hard and direct and most importantly for a 12, is a skilful ball player who can take a bit of pressure off the 10. The only thing going against him at Test level is his size. Would...

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

None of our young 10’s including Carter have been consistent and that’s the problem although Noah might argue the point and Donaldson from memory won the Nathan Sharpe medal last year I believe. Schmidt needs to decide who his two best 10’s are post JOC (James O'Connor) and stick with them and stop rotating.

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

With the game still on the line with 25min to go, I just can’t understand why JOC (James O'Connor) wasn’t injected into the game at 10. We needed some spark and creativity in attack which Tane wasn’t providing and JOC (James O'Connor) has proven numerous times this year that he can get the job done. Missed opportunity by Schmidt...

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

Has Lynagh fallen out of favour with Joe or is he still injured? Very hard for our 10’s to gain any confidence and cohesion with so much chopping and changing.

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

HMP was solid with the better kicking game but Donaldson was outstanding I thought in attack creating numerous opportunities for his outside backs setting up a few with final passes and scoring one himself with blistering speed. Didn’t realise he was that quick. He also beat Ryan in a race to...

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

Can JOC (James O'Connor) make it through to the ‘27 RWC? And if he can, will he be the best candidate for the 10 position in 2 years time with an ageing body? A lot can happen in that time and unfortunately we don’t have a crystal ball. If not, it’s time to get some minutes and experience into Lynagh, Donaldson...

    Wallabies 2025

The great Aussie 10 debate. Mind numbing at times. I think we need to cut our young 10’s some slack as they continue to learn and develop in the most challenging position in rugby. None of them are going to be perfect but it’s from the mistakes they make along the way where the learnings and...

Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

To be fair, all our 10’s get singled out if they have a below par performance. It’s such a crucial position, they are always in the spotlight and the team’s performance more often than not usually hinges on how the main playmaker performs.

Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

Concerning times for young Lynagh with the news of another failed HIA. Just as concerning that he came off with tight hamstrings. That’s been an ongoing issue for him unfortunately. His long term health is his main priority. These continued head knocks highlight the reasons why coaches tend to...

Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

Yes agree Wilson. Donaldson would be ahead of Edmed in the pecking order. Once Donaldson returns from injury I think I read somewhere that O’Connor will then head to Leicester to fulfill his contract obligations. Donaldson and Lynagh will then battle it out through to the WC with Lolesio to...

Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

Spot on BR. You want a 10 who can put doubt in the defenders minds and create space and attacking opportunities for his outside backs. JOC (James O'Connor), Edmed and Donaldson do that best.
