Some unusual changes so glad that the trials led to some as the E 1’s have not won a game yet and the 2s are undefeated. But it appears injuries have played a role in most changes to date. Change is hard but also how successful can you be when you move someone three positions in three weeks or...

And is it the same 3 out with injury ? Hope not!

U16s - does it provide much colour two years on for Opens? With fellas developing, injuries new joiners and the year below playing in Opens as well. The U16’s in 2023 when very few from the schools played up in opens (maybe joeys had a couple and view). The table below: View on top of both...

Bring on round one - plenty of CAS vs GPS trials to work the kinks out - let’s hope the coaches have a view on squads and anyone carrying an injury pep up for selection. Stock those canteens and BBQ’s !

A try on HT and FT made the score line favour Baker - look the better team won but was closer than the score board. A few options for Shore to shape up their set piece scrum and line outs only need to look into 2’s pack as their set piece has looked solid (prop and second row) - wonder who...

Will be a larger squad I assume with fresh bench ? Interestingly that give both teams a chance to trial some players off the bench who have not played a complete game ? Would be interesting to see what if any changes the coaches make in second half. (One aspect of schoolboy rugby is the...

Yes only a few forwards have 1s experience from last year. Both backs still injured - maybe one will be back for Rd1 (15) and then the 10 back much later. Seems a few injuries across the schools so hoping as many as can be healthy for the GPS rounds.

The replaced both props with Armarti and Hamilton went on also replaced a 2nd rower and back rower with Frape and Murdoch. Not sure any were for a major injuries. Props equipped themselves well and would think both could push for time in upcoming weeks. Other two were on for less time so hard...

Shore came back when Knox lost focus. Size of pack and aggression in the forward the difference. Shore clearly stretched at Prop with one young fella playing 3, part of 2s and part of 1s. While they have two backs to return at some stage (10,15) the incumbents are getting better but need to...

Have they lost many through the rowing focus ? And any major injuries to return post holidays ?

An undersized pack. They need to trial and mix some of the larger 2nd forwards into the 1s to see how they hold up. Shore will never have the largest pack but need to win their lineouts and have a solid scrum. They have a three 1s players in the backline to return but those trialing will be...

Waverley 10 was first class vs a very new combination for Shore in the backs. Tight five might need a shuffle for Shore. All the youngsters stepping up for sure will be better for a game in 1’s vs a solid Waverley team. Changes to be made for next trial to see where all are at. Great to be...
