Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

The dead rubber will have plenty of spice. Chance to play for for both teams.

Geez Harry Wilson is a class act. Outstanding words during post game interview with emotions still raw.

    Sydney Subbies 2025

Have those scenarios ever really happened? In my experience Clubs do everything they can to avoid forefeits, they call on old players, ask current club legends to double up. Then if they still can’t make the numbers work they bite the bullet. I’ve never heard of a club saying I can’t be farked...

    Sydney Subbies 2025

Im no barrister but the question becomes are we comfortable we have alignment between clubs, who as you say has its first priority as player welfare, squaring off against an administrative body, a body that imposes penalties on those same clubs should they act to protect those players by forfeiting.

So clubs that are faced with massive player unavailibility through injury or otherwise are to ignore player welfare concerns and force players to play 2-3 games on a Saturday? Sounds like we are a serious injury away from a legal nightmare.

    Sydney Subbies 2025

The promotion/relegation system is no longer remotely relevant. Most Clubs are desperately hanging on with dwindling player numbers year after year. Covid has fast tracked the decline. Shute Shield types smugly have thus far avoided this decline, but only via recruiting heavily from overseas...

I've got no doubt subbies will come up with something to keep Drummoyne up in Div 1 if the Club Champs begin to look a little too dire.

First Nations & Pasifika XV vs the Lions - Tue, Jul 22 @ 8:00 PM, Melbourne

The AUS/NZ concept didn't work but geez the FNP did. They gave a tremendous account of themselves & can be very proud of what they achieved.

Waratahs should sign Debreczeni. We need him at 10.

Brett Robinson where are you? Rugby is finished globally if this TMO madness continues.

IMHO Lynagh is our best long term 10 & we need to stick with him. Yep he made mistakes, but he played behind a badly beaten forward pack who lacked any go forward. We saw how Cleary went in SOO when QLD destroyed the NSW pack. I suspect we will see a different Wallabies & different Lynagh...

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

Wallabies looked like a team that had played one game in 7 months in the first half. Better in 2nd. Literally nothing f went our way, Lions in our backline, the bounce of the ball, Tom Curry tackle not being a yellow, Ben Earl no arms shoulder at Suallis knees unpunished, Forward passes not...

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

The TMO missed a yellow with a tackle in the air and a no arms tackle. The fix was on.

Huge, but lumbering Lions backrow selected. Keep the faith people.
