Most Refs have no clue what’s going on in the scrum let alone the front row … one of the biggest issues in the game . I mean good luck to him (genie) for getting away with it (it’s his job) … but as a ex prop it was blatantly obvious what he was up to lol
I agree, but sometimes you need luck to go your way ( happens to all the best sides) …. Now we go away with a lot of effort with nothing to show .. no momentum, no hype, no media or casual fan interest
He’s a solid piece of the puzzle to having a great wallaby side … our front row and back row now have some world class players… (now we just need a 10 ;) )

this is where discretion and having a deep understanding of the game, so that when possible the ref shouldn’t intervene and stop the flow…. Or in more basic terms… Don’t be a pedantic , letter of the law asshole.
