    ACT Brumbies 2026

Glad to see him at 15. Done the hard work in club rugby in NZ and now Canberra for years. Im pretty sure he grew up in Aus and moved in late teens to NZ and played U20s for Samoa (non-capture). Standout player in the local comp here. Good goalkicker, and has solid speed and some great footwork...

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Based off the brief Canberra Times article it seems the Brumbies are going to search the player market for fullback cover with Wright gone. Any decent ones overseas? Maddocks and Banks both locked in deep contracts. Plenty of Aussies floating around in Japan.

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Rough start like last year. Perth and then Christchurch first 2 rounds.

    Aussie Player Exodus

The Telegraph UK reported it yesterday morning that he was likely to be signed. Seemed logical as well given the Tahs moved him on and the Brumbies weren't interested. Glad the Force have picked him up, he has huge potential. Strong back 3 now for the Force with Pietsch, Lancaster, Bridge...

Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

I doubt Schmidt will move JAS to fullback. He is clearly trying to build the Ikitau-JAS centre combination. Not sure Kellaway possesses the ball-playing ability to cover fullback at international level.

    Wallabies 2025

That is a hammer blow. He is a major part of our backline and is a key cog in our potent attack. Would like to see Mac Grealy be given an opportunity. He is one composed and component player, and his core skills are very good.

    Waratahs 2026

    Arese Poliko for sure.

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Arese Poliko (Aus-born) from the Hurricanes and Taranaki Bulls in the NPC could be one. More likely a target for the Force. 24, 190cm, 115kg. Hits rucks hard and a powerful ball runner. Similar playing style to Hoskins Sotutu.

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Need a backrower I think. I understand the imperative need to bring youngsters through otherwise they play for Ireland or Scotland or NRL, but I am a little concerned with the amount of 19, 20 year olds who are replacing players in the main squad. Ieli has clearly proven himself and is an...

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Great day for ACT Rugby with Ryan Lonergan finally getting an opportunity under Schmidt. Has played 9 matches for Australia A since 2022. Has been in many squads up to this point: 1} 2021 Wallabies July Squad vs France 2} 2021 Wallabies Rugby Championship Squad. 3} 2022 Wallabies April Gold...

    Waratahs 2026

Folau Fainga'a is on contract with Clermont through to 2027, so he is a no go. Uelese contracted through to 2028 with Montpellier. Kaitu'u contracted with Racing 92 through to 2026. Efi Ma'afu is at Nevers in Pro D2, has 1 more year on his contract in France too but more chance getting out of...

    ACT Brumbies 2026

Probably more relevant to this discussion. Anyone aware of how long Slips is prepared to keep his international career going? He had signed a non top-up contract for next year with the Brumbies (2026), but has had said for the last few years that he is retiring from internationals after the...

Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

The veteran Slipper still has it, what a player he is. Despite the criticism it was a great performance by him. His scrummaging ability has always been so underrated. Always fronts up for the team and delivers big shifts every time.

    Western Force 2026

Nathan Hastie just had a strong showing in the Otago vs Southland match. Played close to the full 80 minutes. Has a really strong swift pass on him from the base of the ruck. Snipes around the ruck looking for gaps and has a good offload on him. Solid box kick on him too (hard to judge totally...

    Wallabies 2025

Ryan is an upgrade on all of them. Hopefully he finally gets a shot against the Boks.
