Or make failure more harsh, like .............................. held up over the line a 22m kick

One of the current stains on modern rugby is the reality that the pick and drive from 1m out is so effective and "safe" It is just so boring

    Waratahs 2026

There is a fair bit of evidence - the more the Tahs f*ck around with the ball in shit positions, the more likely they are to run out of units/ideas and turn over the ball

So how should a team play "actual rugby"? When the ball is 3m outside the 22, off static ball?

On a wet day, keeping it close and in front of the pigs is not an unusual game plan Especially with that backline, it shouldn't have gone wide until there was a three man overlap

Well enough? I also question why professional sportsmen, with sports scientists managing recovery, need rest despite having few weeks off. they only have another 5 games over 5 weeks? You would think they would need a game to blow out the cobwebs

He will have to be, that is an average Super Rugby backline, at least the centres have played together and the wingers will work hard, but where is the threat? Who would Jones be concerned about?

The key thing about 12 at the moment has to be metres post contact from static ball, we continually play pass the parcel flat across the line with the rush defence cutting out width (and the 13), they have to fight for metres and have the ability not be isolated while doing it Units like JAS...

Oh, i agree, they are all Super Rugby standard at best with little upside It is the offseason, it is post here or read another f*cking contract - no outrage at all

Maybe, but Tahs would have needed to pay quite a premium in 2023 - we were a shit show

I think being the only decent 10 off contract, better money being offered at the Farse and getting away from the shit show that is the Tahs may have been some of the reasons for his escape
