    Reds v Drua

Was Ben Tune a big body? Fast, yes. Evasive, yes. Heavy, No! Just go for it, Junkyard dog.

But not as nearly match defining as Liam Wright, Harry Wilson, & Tom Lynaugh!

So who moves into the flyhalf position if HMP has to go off early (God forbid)? To answer my own question, possibly Jock Campbell with Heremaia Murray going into fullback. Or can Murray play flyhalf?

This is going to be a big game - no holds barred. It will be interesting to see who the Reds starting front row props are up against probably Slipper & Ala'alatoa.

They also probably did'nt deserve to lose the game. But I thought their forwards were quite tight o_O

I do see merit in this. McDermott is more a sniping half-back. And HMP is more a running/sniping fly-half. With the two of them coming on in the second 40 minutes, I can see line breaks against a tiring defence. But give them 30 mins+ to weave their magic.

Anyone know how long before Harry Wilson is expected to be back playing?

    Reds @ Fiji - 12:05 Saturday 03/05

The Fijian Drua are not as well a coached team this year. They are a team of individuals who don't really seem to have a plan. The humid weather and vocal home crowd works in their favour, but they seem to be wilting away as the season progresses. Chances are, my saying the above, they come out...

    Wallaby Coach after Joe

Also the Reds have plenty of time to find a replacement coach for Kiss. That's a win/win/WIN all round :D

    Reds v Blues Rd 11 Fri 25th April 2025

The 6/2 forwards/backs mix for the Reds says to me that after their loss to the Brumbies, who played their win through a strong rugby forward pack onslaught on a heavy ground, suggests this is what Kiss will expect of his forwards. Admittedly the Reds forwards looked fatigued into the second...

    Reds v Brumbies Rd 9 Sat 12th April @ Suncorp 7.35pm AEST

Just had a noisy storm here in Brissy, with another band of heavy rain abput to pass through. Suncorp is well drained, & hopefully the rain will be over by the time the game starts.

Chiefs v Reds, Hamilton 5.05 PM AEDST 4th April

With Damian McKenzie as the opposing fly half, I would be evaluating who is the better defender between Lynaugh & HPM? HPM should'nt be underestimated.

Kiss could be wanting to give HMP starting time against a powerful NZ side to make sure he has suficient backup in the fly half position should Lyngh incur an injury toward the finals, assuming the reds make the cut, which is a very safe bet.

Could be that Joe Schmidt, who helps in advising the Super Teams coaching staff, wants to see players (especially the props), who are eligible for the Wallabies squad, whereby JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) is not. But agreed that JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) offers a lot to the front row.
