Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

Firstly, congrats to SA. for the WBs, man that BP would have been nice. I think it would have been fitting. Doleman, OK he’s not a ref that deserves plaudits but I can’t say he wasn’t even handed. We need to deal with it. I have often felt that Tate deserved more chances at the start, this...

I for one will have exactly nil problem making this “attribution”. We’ve just had the sugar hit piece that provides “greatness”. The shrinking part follows closely.

Wow. Full memory of why I drank the EJ (Eddie Jones) Koolaide. Gee it would be good to see Link back in the game.

Really? Surely you'd prefer the +200k than not?

Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

It would be truly weird, twilight zone stuff, if the WBs were to win twice in Africa. They'll be feeling up to it though, let's go boys.

Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

I suspect that contrary to expectation, the Wallabies had the benefit of greater fitness at altitude. (Go figure.) That won't work for us at Cape Town. Not to get ahead of ourselves, that game was on in 63 years after all, but I'm looking forward to this.

    Wallabies 2025

Worthwhile looking at the inverse as well. On its own, if we lose to South Africa by the same margin we won last time - it is only 0.3 or 0.4 points. In the absence of other results we stay #6 as SA move up to #2. In essence losing away against a highly ranked team has a tempered impact on...

Under Eddie Jones our fall from grace was far from pretence.

Awesome work from the WBs. Just awesome. Interesting results for the rankings as well. Fingers crossed for the injured.

Laugh? I have no idea what you are saying, surely not responding to me, Blue.

Rugby Championship 2025: South Africa v Australia

When living in the UK I frequently bumped into Dutch when in Europe. They are honestly 6'+ often ++. It's just in the genes. Then you bump into Afrikaners and that height seems to have built mass as well. These are obviously generalisations, but Afrikaners seem built for rugby, especially at lock.

    Wallabies 2025

Sorry BH to be contrarian (kind of). The set up was not behind having a second playmaker at 12. So yes you are (mostly) right in that comment, but because of decissions made earlier. The issue starts with the coaching team working through how they set this up. And imo they chose not to use...

And if not, then... simply a biassed Brumbies hat, no?

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

Looking back, I'm thinking that was the entertaining game of rugby I have seen from the Wallabies in probably 10 years. I'm looking forward to the third test. I also have to say that I respect the vibe that BIL fans bring. And of course their money. I'm normally right up there with Derpus over...

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

Largely, not 100% but largely I don't agree with this. No. I dont think so. He played more strongly than Ikitau - noting that Ikitau should have been playing 13 and I suspect would have done better. If there had been a half way decent 12. My knee jerk response is "rubbish". But I was worried...
