New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Why Lisbon and Madrid? Not Paris? Similarly Miami and Boston seem unnecessary. Getting to a similar geographical footprint as Super did.

If they're not, they're in breach of R9 and will be a rebel league unsanctioned by WR (World Rugby) anyways.

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

If we're willing to pick from the URC/T14/J1 why not. This doesn't feel right.

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Yes so it hastens the death of Super Rugby as union players just got a whole lot more expensive but protects Australian eligible players.

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

(big) if R360 remains available for Wallabies, what's the difference from Bell going to Munster or Ikitau to Exeter? I get excited because I think it could stop players like McMahon/Kerevi going to Japan and never being seen again but tbh it probably means they still go and the next rung get...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Minor quibble is half the linked NRL stars are NZ eligible, not Aussie. Could you please go after Cleary, Crichton and Hammer please? Another thought, if Hansen/Tuipuloto/Meafou went to R360 instead I doubt they'd be playing for other nations right now. I'm being optimistic but it's a union...

Well that sucks. Not that the TRC even exists anymore?

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

They'd be foolish not to align with the Test windows. A player loses his starpower if he's not playing for his country. Also not sure how it benefits the NH when they have much much tighter eligibility requirements. I'd be amazed if Ireland/England/France pick players from R360 when they don't...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

We're bleeding players constantly to Japan/France. If it conflicts with test rugby then I'm dead against it but if it's another union domestic comp that will increase the Australian eligible players I'm for it. Especially if the players coming across are such high calibre. By my read...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Do we know if R360 players are WR (World Rugby) eligible? I feel like I'm naive but if this gets off the ground this is a huge boon for the Wallabies. We're about to have a separate league fund the training of Wallabies eligible players like Zac Lomax, Papenhuyzen, potentially Payne Haas?

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

As long as it's proper union, I don't care if we pick Wallabies from Japan or R360. To my dumb little mind I see this as a positive. Union, with a large Aus focus, is getting more funding?

Weird timing to start. So it'll be NRL players + union players outside their RWC squads? Apparently Zac Lomax has signed.

    Wallabies 2025

Sua'ali'i offering nothing? He has definite issues in defence which our system has to shoulder a bit of the blame for but he's had some amazing attacking runs. His recent try with 3 players hanging off him was something else.
