Great club. Big numbers of young people who train and play hard, on and off the field. Rare to find anyone over the age of 25 or so at the club. It is highly unlikely there would be remuneration. Would be somewhat rare for most clubs in the region.

Seems like a worrying time in the SIRU competition. Lop-sided scores. Steamers only fielded first grade yesterday. No seconds or women. Deni sadly have withdrawn from the 3rd grade competition. Looking forward to the rep program this coming weekend. Haven't heard any news about it but hope it...

1sts seems like an interesting comp. City seems to be the standard bearer to date. Looking forward to them playing Aggies. Unsure of Tahs credentials after having near 70 put on them by City. Middle tier may be close: Leeton, Tumut, Reddies and Albury. Griffith by themselves in the bottom tier.

This is great news about the Phantom's return but I hope all of these efforts are working towards a sustainable future for the club not just 50th anniversary celebrations.

Aggies are a super impressive team with so many committed players. The big thing that lets them down is age and experience. Tumut absolutely destroyed their scrum earlier in the season and I hate to think what City's scrum would do.

Stop the competition and go straight to the City v Tahs GF. Their game today was outstanding. They are many classes above anyone else in the competition. It was an engrossing game with both teams having their chances but City's scrum was scary great. I have never seen an opposing prop get lifted...

They are always strong in juniors and regularly have teams in all SIRU juniors competition. Their older teams draw from boarders at Yanco Ag and St Francis which may be an issue when they leave school and do not move onto seniors with the Phantoms.

Saturday evening was a very enjoyable game. Good standard of rugby and great to see teams of this calibre in our region. I thought the crowd was disappointing and perhaps having the game in Griffith the week before kept Wagga's crowd low. Apparently Wagga Juniors are bringing the Classic...

Finger food provided. I am staggered at this. Depends on what the aims of each event were. Griffith would have been to promote rugby. Wagga to fundraise.

I have heard the same thing. Both SIRU coaches from 2022 coaching Tahs. Will be interesting to see what impact this has on rep coaching appointments in 2023.

Apparently there are a substantial number of Fijians coming to Deni to work at the abattoirs and due to the type of visa they have there is a requirement that they be involved with local sport or activities. No idea of the quality. Leeton will be their seconds and womens team and Deni will play...
