    Wallabies 2025 Spring Tour

I would have thought he makes this Australia A squad so there's a level of curiosity there in my view. The likelihood would certainly be missing selection altogether though. He's obviously not old at 26 but he's older than the other candidates to play 10.

    Wallabies 2025 Spring Tour

Our last Wallabies squad included O'Connor and Stewart so I think there's a reasonable chance Burey will be named in the main squad. That squad had 15 backs. If we named 16? Gordon, Lonergan, Thomas Edmed, Lynagh, Gordon Ikitau, Paisami, Sua'ali'i Jorgensen, Daugunu, Kellaway, Potter, Toole...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Reach is the number of people who have watched at least one minute of the broadcast. The main rating is the average audience each minute.

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

I think it would have been helpful for RA to have responded to the Roar article but is the whole thing a massive beatup? In 2025 there's a World Cup so there is massive irregular expenditure on sending a squad to the UK for a month and in 2026 that won't exist so the expenditure will come back...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

How do you review what is going on? Details are scant yet players are supposedly on the verge of signing contracts. I don't see what else national unions can or should do. They should treat this as an unsanctioned rebel league because at this stage that's exactly what it is.

    League Targets

The residency rule then was only 3 years which he had. It's now 5 years.

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

I also don't really get how this is going to do anything like that. Rugby already struggles to deal with owners and competitions (French Top 14 and Japan League One mostly) being willing to lose substantial amounts of money in order to make their competition outperform their revenue. This is...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Ahh yes. Good to see a plucky upstart like Mike Tindall sticking it to the old boy blazer crowd.

    NSW Rugby 'revolution'

The challenge will always be around shifting control of the overall structure and strategy to a higher level (Rugby Australia) while maintaining the volunteers on the ground who allow things to run at a community level. Unsurprisingly, people volunteering their time want control over what...

    Future of international rugby.

Yeah, I'm not sure it's a net positive. It will largely come down to whether they can sell the same amount of tickets to the big test matches in my view. A lot of people are (fairly reasonably) looking for the upside of having more casual fans watching the game on TV but I think now more than...

    Wallabies 2025

Are we overdoing how much Sua'ali'i needs to increase his involvement? He's the leading try scorer in TRC with 4 and equal 5th in metres gained. He would be about third in carries among the Wallabies backs, equal 9th in the comp for clean breaks, just outside the top 10 in defenders beaten...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Because the Wallabies vs All Blacks is a premium event steeped in history. Madrid vs Miami, even if it does include a chunk of very good players is not that. I fail to see how this would be the thing that captures the attention of casual fans.

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

I thought Wilson's technical skills improved massively in 2025, particularly his kicking. I think he's got a high ceiling and isn't too far away from realising it. It wouldn't surprise me if he's the third halfback taken on the end of year tour.

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

I have never been a big fan of Lolesio and have never thought he's a viable long term option if we want to become a top 4 or 5 team again but I don't think it's reasonable to say he hasn't improved. He was picked initially as the best of the young options and prior to injury this year he was...

    Waratahs 2026

Harry Wilson has been signed for the Aussie 7s as well. Good to see him get that opportunity. He looked great for Easts upon his return (which he should at that level).
