Wallabies v France, 7.00am AEDT Sunday Morning

The selection merry-go-round continues. After 13 changes from Japan to England, 11 changes from England to Italy, 12 changes from Italy to Ireland, we now have another massive 14 changes from Ireland to France. Joe clearly doesn't have any idea about what his best XXIII is, and those huge numbers of changes each and every week cannot realistically be put down to rotation to avoid fatigue or to develop the next wave of Wallabies. This level of change is more likely to destroy any semblance of cohesion developing in the team and must be playing havoc with the mental confidence of the players.

This EOYT has turned out to be a bigger circus than any presided over by Cheika, who was known as a clown.

I think Joe has simply lost the plot, after such a promising start to his time in charge and selections have been a major problem. For Japan, he selected 9 players who had not been regulars in earlier tests this year. Not a great start and almost resulted in a loss to essentially a third tier side. The inconsistent selections thereafter just exacerbated the situation.

For a tour result of just one win out of 5 (I am predicting a 6 try to one hammering by France) or even in the unlikely event of 2 out of 5 is not good enough, It is a fail.

Correct
Nearly lost to Japan who have been poor
Lost to Italy which was not a hard one
Most likely 3 big losses to the big 3 not even being competitive
I can’t bellieve we have been resting people against England, Ireland and France! No one does that

We should be playing our best 23 every game bar injury. Weren't we trying to secure 6 on the grid?
A shame really we don't have mid week games for the rest of the squad like the old days. Plenty of game time for everyone and the best 23 plays the Saturday Test match. Surely it wouldn't be a cost thing so much? The players are all there and I'm sure countries would have a side keen to play the Wallaby 2nd XXIII on the Wednesday?

Where's the beef

Not convinced the aim was top 6. That is not so important given we are hosting. I agree about the mid week games.

Oh no, I'm not weighing into this debate again...

Next thing you know we'll have the usual suspects spam the forum over him being selected over Travis Head, and Christy's shadow will start claiming Cummins was fit to play despite his very public injury status...

And then there'll be some revisionist history over Labuschagne's form...

Nah, fuck that.
