And the amount of push the EPL is getting is unreal. Putting them on FTA at this point as well as every show on Ch9 mentioning it. Whilst good for Stans longevity Rugby risks being shoved to the back of the room. Likely already has.

You just have to find an EPL loving friend or extended family member (or 2) to share an account with. You'll end up paying less than before, even with the increased sub cost and having to move up a tier to allow multiple screens to watch at the same time.

People are never happy. Rugby goes to Stan people complain it isn’t on a service with top tier sports now Stan has the EPL and people complain

I'm not really complaining - it was good when rugby was really important to them. Now the EPL juggernaut has barged in and we're back to normal!

They're heavily promoting EPL because season has just started and they want people to realise Optus has sold it to Stan. Rugby is still there and still getting pushed. Once daylight saving hits there won't be any FTA EPL games on (currently there is a Saturday night 930pm game). I see it as a positive....i have mates who like rugby but first preference is soccer. They now have got Stan for the EPL and they are also able to watch rugby - which they did on the weekend. Anything that gets more eyes on rugby is a positive for mine.

If you're referring to this game kicking off at 5pm NZ time/3pm AEST then I assume they've made a decision to avoid the NRL finals on the Saturday night (and are less worried about losing viewers to the AFL Grand Final).

I just don’t understand how we can’t work together to get the best possible outcome for both unions when we split the revenue from it.

I am guessing that a modest change in the number of TV viewers in Australia isn't close to the top of the list in terms of factors that drive the revenue of the event.

Your'e correct but the Warriors are on a hot streak popularity wise. Average crowd of around 23k in a place that only holds 25k. Warriors jerseys all over the place as well being the kiwis team.
