I feel that there is growing tension in the forum. And that we all need to relax and focus on the footy. Yes, it's great that schoolboys can chant and enjoy the atmosphere, throwing shade at each other, but it's not that bad guys.

Can we please get a pie review from Hunters Hill, Bellevue Hill, and Riverview?

Thank you

Yours truthfully, honourably and sincerely

Scots had close to double Shores numbers.
Considering Scots is probably the worst ground for getting to and most games were called off so boys were not out and about, Shore has done bloody well to have that many there. Albeit a proud Shore associate, Shore always has a good crowd at home and away games, not only in numbers, a loud & proud presence. Shore’s cheer captains this year and the last few have a great job in building such a culture.

Twister.

What is your point? Was my statement incorrect? Shore did do well to get a good group out. Again, I was just stating my observation that Scots did in fact have considerably more boys, as someone earlier suggested the crowd numbers were even.

Watching from behind the goal posts with the castle to my right, I had an excellent view of what turned out to be a fierce atmosphere at Bellevue Hill, both schools showed up in immense numbers, and continued to cheer for their teams. I think all this noise about chants and war cries is a tad excessive. It's a part of the game - schoolboy rugby that is. Both groups of boys wanted to see their teams win, and from a crowd member's perspective, it was great to see them make their voices heard.

On that note, a question to anyone with a good answer, what's the best (could mean the worst) chant you've heard at a GPS footy game. I'm curious as to what some of you have heard on and around the field.

No bad blood mate, I was just using your comment as an entry point to talk about the strength of Shore’s culture at the moment.

Answering your question though, personally I would say crowds were 2:3. I was actually quite surprised by the lack of Scots crowd, but the bagpipes and song was loud, creating a bit of cross field battle which was great.

Of course. Always mixed opinions on the pipes, no doubt they evoke an atmosphere from both schools.

For whoever asked for it. I'll get team lists out later this week as they change so much and aren't completely decided until around Thursday. However, here is ONLY the 1st XV. (I'm 99 percent sure this is what it will be. This is not what I would've picked but I guess we will see how it plays out.

1. Jarret
2. Baxter
3. Green
4. Sidwell
5. Frape
6. Stock
7. Reardon
8. Clout
9. Strachan
10. Ritchie
11. D'almeida
12. Wendt
13. Francis
14. Hockey
15. Callaghan

Assuming Clout is at 8 and Strachan at 9?

Obviously Callaghan and Wendt had to be fit in somewhere but definitely think it’s hard to drop the 12 from last week (Robertson I think?).

Wouldn't be surprised if Tremlett made a feature in some TOTWs because, along with having ice in his veins to win the game, I thought he played brilliantly from what I saw. Haven't watched any replays yet, which I am keen to watch, but from Saturday, he looked right at home in the 10 jersey for Scots.

Thoughts?

yep, questioning whats gonna happen when Ollie Sinclair comes back to no.10, as Tremlett had a huge performance really showing everyone what he can do at the position.

Honest thoughts regarding the dropping of Robertson

I feel he has been exceptionally hard done by here - I will not tell a lie.

Firstly, I thought Wendt was an outside back? I remember him performing as an admirable 13/14 in the 16As etc.

I also thought that he has been the backbone of Shore's midfield defence, which has been among the best in the competition. Most tries are from breakaways, linebreaks that have been linked with support lines etc, and he seems to have a good depth of understanding in terms of midfield defence and organisation.

I also liked the structural role he has played, unlike most 12s as the "Second Five" he seemed as more of a genuine midfield organiser and a viable bridge between inside and outside backs - with Francis often stepping inside of him to assume the "First Five" role.

Hopefully he performs to his best extent in the seconds, and to be fair, someone had to give to allow J.Callaghan back into the side. Good luck to him.
