Ok, let's move on.... to next weekend.
Easy picks are Barker to beat Trinity and Waverley to put St Aloysius gently out of its misery. Knox and Cranbrook could be competitive, though. I think Knox edge it, but Cranbrook will go in with plenty of confidence, and Know will be a touch bruised after last Saturday.

Overall, I think we're in for a solid round of matches. Waverley should get the job done comfortably against Aloys. The Cranbrook vs Knox game could be a highlight—Cranbrook are hosting their first CAS home fixture of the season, and a big crowd is expected, which should create a great atmosphere. I’m not entirely sure how Knox went last week relative to expectations, but if Cranbrook can tidy up their discipline, it should be a cracking contest.
As for Barker vs Trinity, I’d tip Barker by a couple of tries, but it’ll be a good test to see whether Trinity are genuine contenders this year.

Can't wait for the Cranbrook v Knox game, it's shaping up to be personally the game of the season. It's likely this game will be the decider as to whom can break the top 3 and maybe even excel higher up the CAS ranks this season. It would be a great way to hit the ground running but it would seem like the losing team would take an early hit to their morale. It's one to watch. Scrum on!
P.S. Sorry I haven't been active for the past week, I unfortunately went down with the flu and not only couldn't chat but couldn't catch any games that Saturday. Good to be back. Scrum on!

personally I've been around CAS rugby since the 80's. I know a good game when I see one, and cranbrook vs Knox is shaping up to be one for the ages. I saw a similar matchup 98,' where Cranbrook took on the Knox college at home in a similar situation, was a cracker.
the 98 Knox team, was woeful. Hard to go past the Knox teams of 95/99/01 as they best the school has produced in the last 40 years

yes the 99/01 teams were excellent. undefeated in both instances if I remember correctly. also joint winners in 2000. the golden era for Knox rugby.

A few pearls of wisdom from Scrumbledore.
- Don't go to an Aloys game.
- Barker beat Knox 33-7. Seems like Knox should reenact the Apple Chapel tradition before games.
- Trinity most definitely the dark horse this year. Despite the Waverley excuses about the lights, Trinity won at the end of the day.
- Cranbrook Knox game this weekend, get around it.

I will add, the ’98 team might’ve been more social than structural . Hard to top the ’95/’99/’01 crews – proper weapons.
That said, 2015 Knox gave it a red hot crack… shame Newo were freakish that year too.

Still, hard to top the ’95/’99/’01 crews: proper weapons, equal parts mongrel and mastery. And 2015 Knox—clinical, gutsy, gave it a red-hot crack, but Newington that year? Pure elemental force.
