Unfortunate for Pius, it looks like they were weak, or Oakhill was too strong down that right-wing costing them a few tries. Also, their 1, 10, and 12 coming off early into the 2nd half due to injuries(?) couldn't have been great for them. Nonetheless, Pius still put up a great fight though.

Oakhill was very strong in defense, their back row was quick off the line shutting down Pius's forwards early. Their carries, particularly off the lineouts were very strong gaining loads of post-contact meters. Scrums looked even, maybe weighing a little towards Pius's end, and line-outs were a little messy from both sides. Great game to start off the ISA season and I am excited to see what this Oakhill team can do this season.

Had the privilege of visiting your fine school last year when you were playing Oakhill. Rain coming in sideways and cold as f@&K!. Your main field is a real cauldron and your supporters are vocal. I had a great time and hope to do it again at some stage.
Good luck to you and the boys for the season ahead.

For this weeks SCSC (SomeCanSomeCan't) moment of the week you can't go past Oakhill's opening try
If I could draw your attention to 6:20

The class of Manly Harrold Matthews lock Lukas Butler sits up a beautiful tip ball for the up-and-coming Liam Boys who punches a stonker of a line to glide his way to the tryline. Love to see some eyes up footy from the young'uns.

Will be on the lookout weekly to highlight such spectacular moments that recognise that some can and some can't.

Hey fellas, just some useful insight on the stannies v gregs 1st XV game this weekend.

Was a great game of ISA rugby to watch with a close contest between both sides. Gregs having stannies on the ropes for the majority of the game with some great attacking shape within the outside backs. Stannies played a great brand of footy and showed a textbook rucking masterclass with their flankers being too good for their opposing numbers. Overall a few harsh penalties deciding the game resulting in stannies getting over gregs 27-22.

Has to be the upset of the round for sure.

Coming off a loss, I think Kinross will be hungry for a win, and I reckon they have what it takes to defeat Greg's. They really showed strong physicality against Pats, and, although losing still managed to put some good points on the board. Not sure what other teams are playing each other though?

Some inside information for Oakhill this week

Liam boys, after an outstanding performance in the forwards, scoring himself a try, word on the street is he is still drinking and celebrating to big win on the weekend.

In other news, Oakhills 2xv are not focusing on the game against Riverview but rather the, so-called " friendly" match against the 16As they have every Thursday afternoon. This match is very heated, and big shots are put on for it, only being " bear hug".

Nathan Cayless shall be making his return this week after winning the SG ball grand final, The coaches don't know if he will be sober by Saturday due to the sheer amount of beers this young buck sunk.
