Shouldn't have sent JAS to the Waratahs. Did he receive a pass in space once all game?

Could've gone Brumbies and built a partnership with Ikitau leading into the Lions.

I don’t think the private pot of gold that secured JAS was going to land him anywhere except the Tahs.

As in the money was coming from backers within NSW so it was essentially a deal for him to play for the Tahs and the Wallabies would benefit.

A take from someone who knew the result and watched the game on delay - they were clearly very fatigued and I wonder if the Fijians watered the ground as per tradition to up the humidity. As Dan said any one of us would have done the same thing regardless of knowing the rules or not and I can't recall seeing something like that happen in my rugby viewing history, so it's not a play that would have been drummed into them. I don't think the bonus point really mattered, the Tahs either hit form and put up a good show in the finals, or if they scrape in they then get embarrassed by whoever they play in NZ. If the missing competition point results in the latter not happening I'm cool with that.

Overall I though there was some pretty good footy played by both sides.

Drua favour playing at Lautoka for home games. Why? Because it’s 34 degrees and 100% humidity! Suva is much cooler. Ground wasn’t watered it had bucketed with rain the day before. Credit to ground staff for getting the oval in the condition it was.
Waratahs had their opportunities but Drua were better team in attack and mistakes were costly for the Waratahs. Defence was the difference. Same conditions last year Tahs pushed it to golden point. That was a gutsy effort. Too many missed tackles overall and little possession in First half.

don’t forget Drua have won last 8 matches in a row at Churchill.
