So they're still too released a few details, but the team name, playing strip and logo will differ from the Flying Fijians and Fiji Warriors by early indications, current XV test coach John McKee won't be coaching but will be assisting during parts of the season, core of the squad will be made up of the Fijian Warriors but a few overseas based players will be also included.

They've named their team after a canoe!

The Fijian Drua team.

That's a pretty sick canoe.

I'm excited for this team, hoping they'll be my no.2.

Don't know any of the players though, can someone more informed tell me how they think they'll go?

Lets just hope it does not hit a reef and sink :p I'm optimistic that they will win atleast 3 games this season :p

Seven players from the test match squad, they won't be an easy team to beat

A few of our better players did not make the main 23 including one of our best local fullbacks, Meli Nakarawa (Leone's younger brother), flyhalf Veitokani who is like a younger version of dan carter for fiji..strong team named though....that fullback is pretty nippy, they should mark him well..

I think World Rugby and Fiji Government would be pretty pleased so far with their investment in Fiji Drua's participation in the NRC.

Yes, Fiji Drua have been very impressive. I have been impressed with their set piece as that is usually a weakness, and of course their attacking game is fantastic.
